සඳුදා (26) රජයේ නිවාඩුවක් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කළේ පළාත් පාලන මැතිවරණය ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කිරීමට අදාළ ගැසට්ටුව ප්‍රමාද කිරීමටදැයි සමඟි ජන බලවේගයේ පා.ම. එස්.එම්. මරික්කාර් මහතා ආණ්ඩුවෙන් ප්‍රශ්න කර සිටියේය.
මන්ත්‍රීවරයා මෙලෙස ප්‍රශ්න කර සිටියේ විපක්ෂනායක කාර්යාලයේ පැවති මාධ්‍ය හමුවේදීය.
එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා:
“ලබන සඳුදා නිවාඩුවක් දීල තියෙනවා. ඒකත් අපිට සැකයි. මැතිවරණ කොමිසම ගැසට්එක ගහන්න තිබුණේ එදාට. ඒ මුද්‍රණාලය වහන්නද කළේ කියලා අපිට ආරංචි එනවා. මැතිවරණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නීතිය අනුව මැතිවරණය කැඳවන්න ඕනෑ. දැන් උසාවි නිවාඩුයි පාර්ලිමේන්තුව නිවාඩුයි. ඒ නිසා අලුත් අණපනත් ගේන්නේ වෙලාවක් නෑ. නියමිත කාලරාමුව අනුව මාර්තු මාසේ 20 වෙන කොට අලුත් ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා පිහිටුවලා ගැසට් කරලා මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් පත් කරන්න ඕනැ හරි නම්.
මැතිවරණය ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කළාට පස්සේ සතියක් දෙන්න ඕනැ. නාමයෝජනා කැඳවන්න අවම සති පහක කාලයක් දෙන්න ඕනෑ මැතිවරණය සඳහා. ඊට පස්සේ ඒවා ගැසට් කරන්න ඕනැ. ඉන් පසු සභාවලට අවශ්‍ය අය පත් කරන්න ඕනැ.
මේ කාල රාමුව තුළ බලද්දි ළඟ සති දෙකේ මේ මැතිවරණය ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන්න ඕනැ. අපිට ආරංචියක් එනවා මැතිවරණය කැඳවල ඉවර වෙලා ආර්ථික ආපදා තත්ත්වයක් තියෙනවා කියලා නාමයෝජනා බාර අරගෙන කල් දාන්න හදනවා කියලා.”
