අද පවතින ගෝඨාභය – මහින්ද සුසංයෝගයෙන් හැදුණු ආණ්ඩුවක් බලයේ ඉන්න කොට මේ තක්කඩි කල්ලි ලබා ගන්නේ ‘ළඟ චූන්’ එකක්. මොකද මයික් පොම්පියෝ ලංකාවෙන් පිටව යාමත් සමඟම ඒ ‘චූන්’ එක නැතිව ගියා. මහජනයා තුළ මේ ආණ්ඩුව කෙරෙහි අවිශ්වාසයක් ගොඩනැඟීමේ අවස්ථා ගිලිහී ගියා. මේ අය හිත යටින් ප්‍රාර්ථනා කළා, ‘අනේ මිලේනියම් චැලෙන්ජ් කෝපරේෂන් ගිවිසුම අත්සන් කළොත්, අඩුම තරමින් අත්සන් කරන්න කියලා බලපෑම් කළොත් නියමයිනෙ’ කියා. එදා ආරක්ෂක හමුදා කිලිනොච්චිය මුදා ගැනීමට පෙරට යන විට ‘අනේ මෙතැනින් පහර කාලා නතර වේවා’ කියලයි මේ අය නරුම මනසින් ප්‍රාර්ථනා කළේ. අදත් එම නරුම මනසින් තමයි ඉහත ප්‍රාර්ථනාවත් සිදුකළේ.

‘මගේ රටේ ස්වෛරීභාවය, ස්වාධිපත්‍යය ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්බන්ධතා වෙනුවෙනි පාවාදීමට මම සූදානම් නැහැ.’ කියා කියන්න වත්මන් ජනපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂයන්ට කොන්ද පණ තිබුණා. එතුමන් එදා රුවන්වැලි සෑ රඳුන් අභියස ජනාධිපති ධුරයෙහි දිවුරුම් දුන් අවස්ථාවේදීත් ඒ අභීත ගුණය පෙන්නුම් කළා. ඒ වාගෙම නිදහස් දිනයේ දී එතුමන් පැවසුවා ‘මාගේ ආරක්ෂක හමුදාවන්ට බලපෑම් කිරීමට කවුරුන් හෝ කටයුතු කරනවා නම් ඕනෑම ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවිධානයකින් ඉවත්වීමට පසුබට වන්නේ නැහැ’ කියා. ඒ නිසා අපි කියනවා ‘මතක තබා ගන්න අද පවතින්නේ ජාත්‍යන්තර බලවතුන් හමුවේ දණ ගහපු කලින් පැවැති ආකාරයේ රූකඩ පාලනයක් නොවෙයි’ කියා.
‘මරලතෝනි දීම’
රූකඩ පාලනයක් තිබිය දී ජෝන් කෙරීලා, සමන්තා පවෙල්ලා එන විට කලබල නොවුණු 3% මයික් පිම්පියෝ ටික අද රූකඩ නොවෙන පාලනයක්, එනම් මේ රටේ ස්වාධීනත්වය, ස්වෛරීත්වය කවර ජාත්‍යන්තර බලවතකු හමුවේ හෝ පාවා නොදෙන පාලනයක් බිහිව තිබෙන අවස්ථාවක ‘බුදු අම්මෝ පොම්පියෝ එනවෝ. අපිව පාවලා දෙන්න යනවෝ, එම්සීසී ගිවිසුම අත්සන් කරන්න යනවෝ’ කියමින් මරලතෝනි දෙන ආකාරය අපි කලබල නොවී බලාගෙන සිටියා. මොකද අපි දන්නවා මේ ළඟ චූන් එක තියෙන්නේ පොම්පියෝ ඇවිත් යනකම් විතරයි කියලා. අපි ඉතා ආඩම්බරයෙන් කියනවා අමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපද රාජ්‍ය ලේකම්වරයා යම් යම් ගිවිසුම් අත්සන් කළ යුතු බවට ඉන්දියානු බලධාරීන්ට කළ බලපෑමවත් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වත්මන් පාලනය ඉදිරියේ සිදු කිරීමට නොහැකි වූ බව.
‘එළුවා රුවුල පාපු කාලය ඉවරයි’
ඒ නිසා මෙතැනදී පැහැදිලිව පෙනෙනවා, ලෝක බලවතා වුවත් හැසිරෙන්නේ යම් රටක පාලකයාගේ හැටි බලලා බව. පාලකයා නිවටයකු නම් ‘එළුවාත් නිවට ඇම්බැට්ටයාට රැවුල පාන’ තත්වය උදා වෙනවා. පාලකයා ඍජු නම්, තම රට පිළිබඳ වගකීමක් දරන්නෙක් නම්, එහි ස්වාධිපත්‍යය ස්වෛරීත්වය, ස්වාධිනත්වය පිළිබඳ පුළුල් හැඟීමක් සහිත කෙනෙක් නම් ඕනෑම ජාත්‍යන්තර බලවතකු ඒ යථාර්ථය පිළිඅරගෙන තමයි රාජ්‍යතාන්ත්‍රික සබඳතා ඉදිරියට ගෙන යන්නේ. ඒ බව සක්සුදක් සේ දන්නා නිසයි ජාතික නිදහස් පෙරමුණේ නායකත්වය මේ පොම්පියෝගේ පැමිණීම පිළිබඳ කලබල නොවුණේ. නමුත් පසුගිය ආණ්ඩුව කාලයේ පොම්පියෝ ආවා නම් අපි කලබල විය යුතුයි. මොකද ඒ ආණ්ඩුව එම්සීසී මූලික ගිවිසුමත් හොර රහසේ අත්සන් කරපු එකක්. සෝෆා, ඇක්සා ගිවිසුම් අත්සන් කරන්න ඔවුන් පියවර ගෙන තිබුණා. එහෙම ආණ්ඩුවක් තිබෙන කොට මුළු රටම ඇමෙරිකානු රාජ්‍ය ලේකම් පැමිණෙන විට කලබල විය යුතුමයි.
